Norway and Sweden were allied in a union during the period 1814 and 1905. Since then the two countries have held close ties and cooperated on many levels. There have, however, also been forces who wanted a more intensive relationship between the two countries. Who doesn’t remember PG Gyllenhammar and his dream of a Norwegian/Swedish Volvo. Now Nordfalks will take the step to develop and strengthen the ties with our neighbours.

Name change in Norway
As previously announced, the Norwegian operation Ingredia AS has changed names and is now called Nordfalks AS. We have chosen to change the company name to simplify as Nordfalks AB and Ingredia work closely together, says Managing Director Leiv M Helsingen.

Through our joint competencies and resources we will now be able to offer our customers even better service; and through our cooperation we can now gain advantages through joint purchases, production, quality, product development, warehousing and transports. In the long term this means that we can secure raw material supplies and prices which will benefit our customers.

Continue to be local
Also in the future, our different companies will continue to work according to local conditions. The name change does not affect the organisation or the attitude towards the customer. Association and resources within the Paulig Group allow us the opportunity to continue to operate locally with knowledge and insight of the market, customer and consumers. Both the sales staff and product developers will continue to think and focus on the local market. As responsibility for product development will remain within the respective country organisations we utilise the best of being local and global, says Norfalks CEO Lennart Ahrné who has overall responsibility for both companies. The establishment of our new food studio which was opened in November last year is just one example of how our product developers can work together with the customer to create new and exciting products. The food studio is in Gothenburg, a good geographical location for both Swedish as well as Norwegian customers.
Our aim is to continue with our strong growth and to be an attractive and inspiring partner for our customers.
